Technical Overview

BRmfo  is    a   Windows    based    application  developed   using   Client-Server   architecture.  While  SQL Server is the recommended database, the system  can also support other RDBMS as well, such as Oracle  and DB2.

 

BRmfo can be operated in two modes :

 

1. Centralized mode

Centralized  mode,  where  there  would  be  a  centralized database and all the branches connect to  this database using dial up lines or leased lines. Also,  the field officers, using hand-held devices / POS, can  connect  to  the  central  server  to  access  customers’  information    and    post    transactions    online.   This  enables ‘Anywhere Access’ of services to customers.

 

2. De-Centralized mode

De-Centralized   mode,   where   the   branches  operate stand-alone and connect to the central server  only at End of Day(EOD) for data reconciliation. The  reconciliation can also happen in offline mode, where  by the data can be sent to the head office through  external media. This would help organizations having  branches   in   remote   locations   with   no   network  connectivity or low bandwidth.

 

The architecture has been designed in such a  way that, the system is easy to implement, support,   upgrade and scale . The system has enhanced security  features  and  interface  for  external  systems  such  as  ATM,  POS,  Internet  Banking,  SMS  Banking,  Thumb  Scanners, Retina Scanners etc.
