COD Engagement Models

CSIL offers alternative modes of engagement depending on clients' business need and assignment:

a. Hybrid Delivery Model

Hybrid Development is a combination of onsite and offshore services that delivers results at highly reduced costs. Requirements of engineering and the development of detailed specifications are usually done onsite, while software development and testing are done offshore at our development center in India. This model maximizes efficiency in resources and costs.

Proven benefits of this model include continuous, near-24 hour work cycles; the ability to structure and assemble teams with diverse, multiple skill sets; lower costs for resources and the ability to quickly scale (up or down) depending on the requirements.

b. Offshore Delivery Model

This model is best suited for companies looking at deriving the maximum benefits of offshoring. This model reduces the development cost by over 30%.

Our team located at CSIL ' s development center in Bangalore, India, works as an extended arm of the Customers in-house team. A team comprising of Project Manager, Project Leads, Domain Experts, Developers and Quality Control and Testing are dedicated to the client project.
The offshoring process involves replicating the Customer development environment, establishing the communication channels and reporting and reviewing structure.
Project Progress reports are sent to the Customer on a regular basis. The Customer can conduct mid-term reviews with the program manager at their offices or at the offshore office. Our engineers also facilitate installation and acceptance testing at the Customer's office.

c. Build Operate Transfer (BOT)

In the Build Operate and Transfer Model, the Center for Offshore Development is built based on the requirements of the client and runs on a pre-defined and agreed to terms and conditions. CSIL’s Build-Operate-Transfer model enables customers to rapidly start offshore operations and later transfer the offshore development center as their own subsidiary. This model helps the client build up its own facility offshore without having to be exposed to entry-level hassles.

CSIL  provides the following values during each phase of the process:

Build: Setup the facility and infrastructure, staff the development center, and establish knowledge transfer.

Operate: Manages the offshore organization: Project Management, Development, QA, Maintenance, Enhancements, and Product Support.

Transfer: Registers a new offshore subsidiary for the customer, transfers assets and handover operations.

We have developed a, 'Milestone Management', framework to address the challenges and manage risks in the application development lifecycle. This framework mitigates typical risks associated with such a venture by managing crucial areas like Product development, project management, SLAs, communication, IP protection, support, help desk, Disaster management etc.
